Konkurs “Wspomnienie Solidarności w mojej rodzinie”

Cel Konkursu:

• przybliżenie młodym Polakom, mieszkającym poza granicami Polski, historii Solidarności;
• ocalenie od zapomnienia tych działań Polaków mieszkających za granicą, które przyczyniły się do odzyskania przez Polskę suwerenności w 1989 roku.

W Konkursie wzięły udział dzieci i młodzież w wieku od 8 do 19 lat z całego świata: Argentyny, Austrii, Belgii, Chin, Czarnogóry, Francji, Holandii, Irlandii, Kanady, Litwy, Niemiec, Rosji, Szwajcarii, Tunezji, Stanów Zjednoczonych, Węgier, Wielkiej Brytanii, Włoch. Prace w formie relacji z wydarzeń, opowiadań, wywiadów, wierszy były oceniane w dwóch grupach wiekowych 8-12 lat i 13-19. Dodatkową kategorię stanowiły prace multimedialne.

Nagrodę specjalną Prezesa Fundacji “Świat na Tak” otrzymał Filip Kucharski z Sankt Petersburga.

Podczas uroczystej Gali 27 czerwca 2010 r. w studio TVP Polonia wręczono nagrody laureatom i wyróżnionym. Pozostali uczestnicy Konkursu dyplomy gratulacyjne otrzymają w polskich Ambasadach i Konsulatach.

Contest “The memory of the Solidarity in my family”

Purposes of the Contest:

• to arouse an interest in the history of Solidarity for young Poles who live outside of Poland

• to save from oblivion the actions undertaken by Polish Diaspora which contributes to Poland regaining its sovereignty in 1989.

The Year 2010 reminds us of one of the most important events in recent Polish history, the 30th anniversary of the creation and the registration of the Independent Self-governing Trade Union „Solidarity”. By peaceful means, the heroic actions by members of the „Solidarity” movement brought about a system change, ensuring sovereignty to the Polish Nation. The ideas of „Solidarity” spread to neigh­bouring countries, resulting in the struggle for „Solidarity” having an influence on Europe’s and the world’s history. Its’ authors were Poles who lived in Poland and those who, because of various reasons, lived abroad.

The 1980’s was an unusual decade in Poland, and for this reason, we wanted to arouse in young people an interest in these difficult times. We invited young people to prepare projects which took many different forms, such as: reports of events, stories, interviews, poems and multimedia presentations.

We received over 90 projects from all over the world. There are works from Argentina, Austria, Belgium, Canada, China, France, Germany, Great Britain, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, Lithuania, Montenegro, Nether­lands, Russia, Switzerland, Tunisia, United States.

The projects were judged in three categories: ages 8-12 and 13-19 and also multimedia projects. The contest winners were chosen on June the 6th, 2010, and the grand final when the winners were awarded took place on June 27th, 2010 on TVP Polonia in Warsaw.

Other participants of the Contest will get diplomas in Polish Embassies and Consulates.
